Sunflower Elementary principal Troy Claycomb—retiring after 13 reports—presented his final academic report on Tuesday, March 11th to the Campbell County School District Board of Trustees.

He noted stable enrollment and a strong student culture as key parts of the school’s progress.

Wagonwheel Elementary School Principal Brandee Maurer presented a report to the school board that showed students making strong gains in state tests and overall academic progress.

The report stated every grade improved in English Language Arts—fourth through sixth grades scored above the state average while the school maintained steady enrollment and staffing.

A University of Wyoming study released on March 14th, 2025 finds many locals oppose storing spent nuclear fuel in the state and would pay about $41 to avoid it, with nearly 40% of respondents strongly against the idea.
