- ➤ Gillette College’s board held its yearly retreat session today and set new 10-year goals that will move the college beyond its current accreditation. The trustees said they feel optimistic about plans that will shape the college’s future. Gillette News Record
- ➤ At the Wyoming Capitol, lawmakers advanced a 20-page literacy bill after strong public testimony on student reading struggles. The measure will be studied for the 2026 Legislature and aims to use proven methods and boost teacher training (including better dyslexia screening) and state support (like a federal $24.4 million grant). - ➤ LCSD1’s Dual Language Immersion program at Afflerbach Elementary teaches kindergarteners all subjects in Spanish — from counting to 100 and learning letters to exploring culture.
