- ➤ Author Bruce Goodland returned to Campbell County Rockpile Museum this week to read from his memoir and sign copies of his book—he reconnected with longtime friends who invited him to share memories of his Wyoming childhood. County 17
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Campbell County High School head football coach Orah Garst was terminated effective Nov.6 after a tip said he was suspended on Nov.5—County 17 could not reach the school for comment. County 17
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Local officials announced that the right lane on Boxelder Road will be closed from Nov. 10 for gas utility service work by Vindustries Underground — the closure will affect westbound traffic and may last until Nov. 21. County 17
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Wyoming submitted its application Wednesday for up to $800 million in federal funds to improve rural health care and expand workforce training and technology access — Gov. Mark Gordon said the funds will help stabilize rural hospitals, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services will announce winners on Dec.31. County 17
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Campbell County Parks and Recreation invites local runners and walkers to the 33rd Annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning, November 27, at Cam-Plex Park—where the walk starts at 8:00 a.m. and the run at 8:45 a.m.—with pre-registration open through November 24 and race-day sign-up from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Entry fees are $20 with a shirt or $8 without.
