Friday and Saturday, Gillette hosted its first Oktoberfest on Main Street—organized by Montgomery Bar, Railyard and Gillette Supper Club, the event brought a festive spirit along Gillette Avenue.

The City announced that Allen Avenue—from the Vivian Court/Vivian Street intersection to Sutherland Drive—will reopen tomorrow after street paving work.
The closure began on Sept. 8 and involved contractor Dan Hart Patrol Service LLC and engineer KLJ.
Today at 6 p.m., the Campbell County Board of Commissioners meets in Wright to review major projects such as an ESM Payment Plan with Matthew Adams, a contingency funds request for Ice Arena repairs by Bill Beastrom, bid awards for airport and library improvements, staffing requests, and budget transfers. Nine citizens have filed to fill a vacated commissioner seat and public comment begins at 6:45 p.m.—an executive session on sensitive matters starts at 6:55 p.m.
