- ➤ This weekend, Gillette will host several events including Blessed Fest—featuring diesel truck races and burnout contests on a new pad—taking place Friday and Saturday at 2 p.m. and 11 a.m., and the 43rd Annual NE Wyoming Quilt Show at Cam-Plex starting Saturday at 9 a.m. Married couples will also take part in Couples Uncorked at Grinners at 5:30 p.m. with the You Glow Girl event following at 6 p.m. County 17

- ➤ Dull Knife Equipment Services LLC has expanded its role by becoming an authorized XCMG equipment dealer and now offers machinery sales, rentals and parts along with repair and maintenance services from its Gillette facility on S. Douglas Highway. The company operates a fleet of 10 service trucks and is adding heavy machinery—such as excavators, skid steer and wheel loaders—to support local industries. County 17
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A federal government shutdown began at 10 p.m. Tuesday after members of Congress failed to agree on a short-term funding measure—this is the first shutdown since 2019 and it may soon affect local services. Gillette News Record
