💼 Business
Northeast Wyoming Regional Airport resumed maintenance services for private pilots + commercial aircraft amid a surge in commercial traffic.
The update marks the airport’s return to full service after a period without maintenance.
🎓 Education
The Campbell County School District Board met on Sept.
8 at the Educational Services Center and canceled its Sept. 22 meeting to allow more time for board workshops. Board Chair Lisa Durgin + community members praised staff efforts for a smooth start to the school year.
Campbell County School District is updating its K-12 reading program to meet new state literacy requirements under Senate File 59 and Chapter 57 rules.
The district submitted baseline data on Aug. 15 and aims to complete changes by the 2027 to 2028 school year, using increased screening + teacher training.
Wyoming’s new literacy law — affecting Campbell County — will require teachers to use more ungraded tests and take on extra duties to help boost reading skills.

The City of Gillette announced that Boxelder Road eastbound from South Burma Avenue to 4-J Road will have a left lane closed for manhole concrete collar replacement.
The closure begins Sept. 14 and ends Sept. 25.
