- ➤ Sage-grouse mating season in Gillette reached a seven-year high as natural cycles and abundant spring moisture boosted lek attendance—over 30,000 males were observed on most sites. Experts from the Wyoming Game and Fish Department expect numbers to drop next year after a dry summer impacted the habitat. County 17
