Gas prices in Gillette have increased as Campbell County recorded a price of $4.37 per gallon while the statewide average fell to $4.34; drivers can find cheaper fuel at Flying J and Exxon along South Douglas Highway (cheapest is $4.29).

Today, Gillette is sunny with a high near 80 and light winds that may gust up to 17 mph.

Dry air may drop humidity to 10% & raise fire danger while a 30% chance of rain showers is forecast Tuesday in Campbell County.

State Forester Kelly Norris updated wildfire efforts on Thursday, noting 908 fires burned over 63,200 acres and strong local, state + federal teamwork improved suppression, though the fire season is not over.

She added a new helibase near Casper will hold its ribbon cutting on Sept. 24.
