Campbell County gas prices climbed by 22 cents to $4.36 per gallon this week, according to AAA data (the statewide average is $4.38) and Gillette drivers can find the cheapest fuel at Cenex on S.
Douglas Highway at $4.24 per gallon.
🎓 Education
The Campbell County Public Library saw a busy summer at its Gillette branch, where 529 children finished their summer reading and events drew hundreds.
Renovations (in the basement) started as staff plan new programs in September with a ribbon-cutting ceremony slated for Sept. 21.
🏛️ Government
Interior Sec. Doug Burgum signed a 10-year plan last Friday that protects Wyoming’s water allocation in the Colorado River Basin — the guidelines set a two-year period for adjusting reservoir releases and require Lower Basin states to reduce usage by 2.5 million acre-feet while ensuring Wyoming irrigators face no extra cuts.
