A sub-adult male black bear was captured near Buffalo Ridge Elementary Tuesday morning after residents reported sightings, Game and Fish officials said.
Law enforcement and wildlife personnel safely relocated the animal to a remote habitat (it had also been seen on Aug. 17 amid drought-driven food shortages).
The National Weather Service determined that strong straight-line winds caused damage near Rattlesnake Road and Wyoming Highway 59 South on Aug.
12. Emergency crews responded around 12:36 p.m. as inspections confirmed winds of up to 111 mph — a nearby station recorded a 79 mph gust.
