- ➤ Campbell County Library’s summer reading program saw 461,000 minutes read by 1,083 children and many adults, and the library will work to reach 500,000 minutes by Aug. 23 using community events—like a block party and prizes—for added support. - ➤ Wright Branch Library kicks off the new school year today by hosting its Cappuccino Capers event from 7:30-9 a.m.—offering drinks and treats for parents to relax before school, and drawing local families to start the day together. Gillette News Record
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Lawmakers discussed changes to the Public Records Act on Thursday in Casper—debating if they should end their lawmakers’ exemption—and agreed to form a working group after receiving concerns from local officials and the public records ombudsman.
