- ➤ Campbell County Public Library is hosting a free legal advice session sponsored by Equal Justice Wyoming & the Wyoming Access to Justice Commission that offers one-on-one discussions with a Volunteer Reference Attorney. Gillette News Record
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A South Dakota man, Christopher Lara, who had been a fugitive since May 7, was arrested in Gillette on July 31 and has been extradited to face a felony drug charge for controlled substance possession with intent to distribute + he now faces a $1,000 cash-only bond in South Dakota. County 17
- ➤ Brittany Trandahl of Gillette was charged with felony shoplifting after Walmart said she stole over $1,000 worth of goods on several trips from May to July—she is set to appear in court today at 4 p.m. County 17
- ➤ A Gillette man pled not guilty to misdemeanor drug and interference charges after a disturbance at a Sinclair gas station on Aug. 3—he received a $3,000 cash bond and his trial is set for Jan. 31. County 17
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Campbell County Public Library has a part time opening in its Youth Services Department for someone who loves kids and books. The position was posted on (August 6) and will support local library programs. Campbell County
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Tuesday, Aug. 5, the Campbell County Fire Department responded to seven incidents including four medical emergencies, one alarm activation, a one-vehicle collision and a smoke detector activation. Year to date, the department has answered 1,939 requests for service—demonstrating its high level of activity. County 17
