CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Angel Ontiveros (20-year-old former men’s soccer player and Gillette College student) was arrested in 2024 for his second DUI and is now given another chance through a juvenile treatment court program. Gillette News Record
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Wyoming Game and Fish Department opened applications for antelope hunt event licenses from Aug. 1 to Aug. 31 — agencies must submit details on hunt areas, license types, background and financial plans — and the Game and Fish Commission will review applications at its November meeting — up to 160 licenses may be issued for 2 events annually —. County 17
- ➤ On Aug.1, the Campbell County Fire Department responded to 10 calls that included a two-vehicle collision and a lightning-started grass fire contained to 13.2 acres + handled additional calls for mutual aid, medical response, activated fire alarms, a carbon monoxide alarm, and a citizen assist at various locations. The incidents occurred from early morning through the evening and covered key areas such as Interstate 90 and South Miller Avenue. County 17
