- ➤ After hearing input from community members, experts, and politicians on Wednesday, the Joint Minerals, Business and Economic Development Committee tabled a proposal to allow nuclear reactor manufacturers to store spent fuel on site. The decision delays the matter until the 2026 legislative session as supporters and opponents continue to voice their concerns over safety and local impacts. County 17
- ➤ The recently passed Big Beautiful Bill will pay ranchers for cattle killed by predators—official details on whether federal payments add to state funds and the timing of reimbursements remain unclear. Jim Magagna from the Wyoming Stock Growers Association said the measure may ease pressure on the Game and Fish program that paid more than $1 million for losses last year—further clarification is expected.
