A Gillette man first arrested on a misdemeanor domestic charge in mid-May was later charged with three felonies for allegedly choking his girlfriend and breaking her nose with a crutch—police said the victim's injuries were more severe.

Campbell County drivers saw their gas prices drop for a second week — falling 8 cents to $2.82 per gallon — while the national average rose to $3.10 based on AAA data.

On Sunday, July 27, the Campbell County Fire Department responded to several calls in Gillette, including medical emergencies, a two-vehicle collision and three grass fires started by a powerline and a passing train.
Their total requests for service reached 1,846 this year & they continue to monitor public safety needs.
Gov. Gordon formalized a contract between ICE and the Highway Patrol to help local sheriffs arrest undocumented immigrants—state officials say the agreement will boost law enforcement efforts statewide— as part of a new enforcement initiative.
