Teams from across Gillette will serve barbecue in a VFW competition today from noon to 3:30—raising funds for local veterans.

Federal funds for Wyoming’s Adult Education program—which helps single moms, homeschooled teens and reentry students—were withheld as officials review its expected $1 million funding.
Some community colleges have already canceled summer classes while program directors express concern that cuts may reduce essential services.
The Campbell County School District board of trustees approved a $323.4 million budget for fiscal year 2025-2026—this 4% increase supports higher teacher pay and sets spending priorities for the coming school year.

Campbell County Commissioners visited Idaho National Laboratory last week as part of Wyoming Community Days and said they are intrigued yet cautious about nuclear energy.
