- ➤ Federal data from ICE shows that between Jan. 20 and June 26 nearly all people arrested in Wyoming and Colorado had no criminal convictions, with the most serious charge among those with convictions often being drunken driving—signaling a shift in enforcement tactics. County 17

- ➤ Campbell County Commission urged the U.S. Department of the Interior to update federal land management policies because they said Biden-era regulations limit local energy leasing and growth—calling for more county control and clearer rules for private property rights. The commission also approved letters supporting Gillette’s Main Street Award nomination and BRECC funding to bolster local economic development. County 17
- ➤ The Campbell County Commission approved a $60,000 contract with the predatory management board to support efforts to keep sage grouse off the endangered list and control skunks. The funding from the county's 1% sales tax will pay for the project until June 30, 2026—officials say it helps protect local extractive industries and reduce rabies risks. County 17
- ➤ Campbell County commissioners voted today to amend an agreement with the Wyoming Business Council to extend the Pronghorn Industrial Complex sewer project deadline from December 31, 2026 to 2031—requiring the county to provide written justification for the extension and secure subcontractors for the work on the 250-acre site east of CAM-PLEX. - ➤ Today, the Campbell County Commission approved the purchase of a new CAT landfill scraper from Wyoming Machinery for the landfill north of Gillette at about $1,260,000. Public Works said the expedited sole purchase process is set to meet local needs (other dealers did not offer equivalent options) and the expense is already in the 2025–26 budget. County 17
