🌲 Environment
A federal court stopped the BLM from rounding up 3,600 wild horses on public land in southwest Wyoming because the agency did not show how its plan would keep the land’s natural balance (the roundup had already been postponed).
The case is now sent back to a Wyoming district court for further review.
🏥 Health
Campbell County Health recently hired Dr. Kimberly Schaeffer (AuD) to join its Medical Group Audiology Team in Gillette, where she brings over 26 years of experience in hearing care.
She specializes in hearing loss and tinnitus management and will begin preparing for appointments soon (details to be announced).
🏈 Sports
University of Wyoming seniors Caden Barnett and Jack Walsh were named to the Mountain West Conference preseason All-Conference team, marking Walsh's second consecutive honor.
Barnett played in all 12 games in 2024 and will move to interior guard this season, while Walsh started 10 games without allowing a sack — details that highlight the Cowboys' veteran offensive line.
