- ➤ Wyoming Game and Fish Department announced changes to the 2025 elk hunting season on the National Elk Refuge—season dates run from Nov. 1 to Dec. 19 with a new license type and revised permission slip rules to better distribute the elk harvest. The initial draw begins Aug. 1 at 8 a.m. with weekly alternate draws from Oct. 20 through Nov. 27. County 17
