Fraternal Order of Eagles is hosting a fundraiser today at Eagles Lodge, 210 West 3rd Street, to support the Gillette Little League Minor All-Star Team.

The event will feature food, a car show, raffles, and games with cash prizes and gift baskets.

Campbell County Recreation Center announced winners of the Grand Celebration Parade held July 4 to honor the nation’s 250th birthday, with First Northern Bank donating $1,000 to boost entries.

Winners in the adult, youth and non-profit categories, including Powder River Construction, Pepsi and Teton Distributing and Shelli and Mike Lind, will be contacted for prize pickup.

Uranium Energy Corp is asking the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality to expand water quality exemptions for its Christensen Ranch in-situ uranium mine by 352 acres (an 11% increase).

Public comment is accepted until Aug. 3.

Campbell County has launched a new emergency alert system to deliver warnings faster to residents.

The system lets users choose how to get alerts (text, email, voice call or mobile app) and allows them to sign up for specific area notifications.

On Tuesday, July 7, the Campbell County Fire Department handled calls for medical emergencies, fire alarms, and wildland fires at locations including East 3rd and Interstate 90; the department had answered 1,753 requests for service year to date.
