On Thursday, June 25, the Campbell County Fire Department responded to varied emergencies in Gillette including medical calls, fire alarms, a grass-fire incident at Pederson Dam covering 3.9-acres and a vehicle collision, with 1,622 service requests year-to-date.
Calls spanned early morning to late evening.
Billy Montgomery, a veteran and former city council member, held a mayoral meet and greet yesterday at Big Lost Meadery.
He discussed campaign priorities including rising rents, mental health support, local infrastructure, and the need for a 1% sales tax (a key focus) to boost services.

Vitalant has released its blood drive schedule for July with events set across Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota and Nebraska.
