- ➤ Gillette will host the Family RV Association’s 111th International Convention and RV Expo at CAM-PLEX from July 16—19, and the event will feature RV seminars, a costume contest, a dance, and sessions with the hosts of RV There Yet? while local RV owners can camp onsite. County 17
- ➤ The Campbell County Fire Department responded on Wednesday, June 25 to a 7:08 a.m. medical call on Shoshone Avenue, an 8:42 a.m. call on Walnut Street, a 7:13 p.m. motor vehicle versus pedestrian incident at East 1st Street and Gillette Avenue, and a 7:59 p.m. medical call on East Boxelder Road. The department has answered 1,507 service requests this year — a busy season for emergencies — and remains ready to respond. County 17
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A wanted fugitive was captured in Gillette earlier this month as he fled trial for multiple felony charges including grand theft and possession of a controlled substance—Campbell County law enforcement said he was extradited to South Dakota on June 20 and will face trial soon. County 17

- ➤ Today, oil prices stay steady even though conflict in the Middle East rises, but analysts warn that if Iran shuts the Strait of Hormuz, prices may jump and affect Wyoming's energy market + local fuel costs. - ➤ Gov. Mark Gordon announced a $75,000 grant to Gillette's Rockpile Museum to support its +Wyoming Cowboys in the Development of Wyoming+ project that will create a permanent home for the Wyoming Cowboy Hall of Fame. The grant is part of a second round from a $2 million state allocation +which also funded projects in Thayne and Elk Mountain+. County 17
- ➤ The City of Gillette is asking residents to share views on the Dalbey Park Improvements Study via an online survey open until Friday, July 18—feedback from past workshops and a City Hall meeting on May 21 will help guide future upgrades to park facilities like Fishing Lake. County 17

- ➤ Campbell County Health Department will launch a new electronic record system called Epic on July 19 that will let patients view medical records, lab results, and appointment details 24/7—providing secure access from any phone or computer. County 17
