Community members gathered today in Gillette to mark the 50th anniversary of YES House, a longstanding local institution that has been a touchstone over the decades.

The Gillette Travel Center celebrated its grand opening last weekend and marked the end of a journey spanning more than three years — a milestone for local business.

Gillette College approved a $28.5 million budget for fiscal year 2026-2027 with a $1.9 million increase + a 3.6 mills levy to support planning for the new Enzi Center.

The Gillette College board approved a one-year contract extension for President Janell Oberlander and a pay raise last week.

The decision supports stable leadership for the college.

Campbell County Public Library Board met yesterday and reviewed the Wright Branch renovation timeline and record summer reading sign-ups.

Bids were sent on June 17, with a pre-bid walkthrough on June 26 and project completion planned by Sept. 25, while record high numbers drive plans to expand children’s storytime space.

Junior high students at Gillette College’s STEM Achievers summer camp demonstrated drones, virtual reality & engineering projects to parents after weeks of immersive learning.

The finale highlighted their technological creativity and real-world skills.
