🎭 Culture
A bronze statue honoring Edward Gillette will be unveiled Wednesday, July 1 at 5:30 p.m. downtown at the corner of Gillette Avenue and 2nd Street; the work by local artist Tom Ford is part of America’s 250th birthday celebration led by Gillette Main Street.
🎓 Education
Gillette College introduced its 25-year master plan to expand programs and improve student life.
The plan divides the campus into five districts with upcoming projects including new labs, housing conversions + renovations to support local workforce needs.
🏛️ Government
Hidden Valley Road west of the Dade Road Intersection will close from June 15 until June 19 for sanitary sewer improvements + asphalt milling work.
Traffic control will be in place as crews complete the project.
