🎓 Education
At last night's board meeting, the district honored Wright Junior-Senior High athletes who won seven state titles and approved a budget amendment reallocating funds for bus leases, maintenance, and facility upgrades.
The athletes and their coach will travel to Oregon next week to compete at the Nike Nationals.
In a recent meeting, the Campbell County School District Board approved routine contracts, summer programs, & construction updates.
The board cut the bid for a transportation facility from $222,990 to $162,530, approved new tech and supplies, and outlined HVAC fixes at Cottonwood Elementary and a $6.5M upgrade at Conestoga Elementary.
The school board approved a new cell phone policy today that bans phone use for K-8 students and limits high school use to passing periods and lunch; the board will review quarterly discipline reports (and staff feedback) to monitor the rules.
