ECONOMY NEWS

  • Average gasoline prices in Wyoming fell 4.5 cents per gallon last week, with prices averaging $3.03 per gallon on Monday according to GasBuddy.com's survey of 494 stations — the drop may lower fuel costs for local drivers.  Wyoming News Now

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • During a special meeting on Monday, Gillette City Council approved the second reading of the proposed $151M budget for the next fiscal year. The council will hold a final reading before July 1 to decide on plans to sustain city services amid rising costs and tighter revenues.  County 17
  • On June 9, the Gillette City Council voted 3 to 4 to not bring back the Optional 1% funding for Gillette Reproductive Health for the next fiscal year (with Mayor Shay Lundvall and Councilmembers Jack Clary, Chris Smith, and Tim Carsrud voting against) and moved forward with a $151 million city budget for 2026.  County 17
  • Campbell County Commissioner Scott Clem criticized state legislators—he argued their property tax bills were too low—at a Joint Revenue Committee meeting on June 4th in Gillette while lawmakers discussed property taxes.  Gillette News Record
