Hundreds of kids caught fish and turtles at Dalbey Memorial during the fifth annual Youth Fishing Derby on Saturday despite temperatures in the 90s.

The 19th Annual Donkey Creek Festival will take place Saturday, June 20 at Big Lost Meadery from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The free event will feature local music, art and entertainment while community sponsors & partners support a celebration of Wyoming culture.

Refinery outputs and lower oil costs pushed Campbell County’s gas price down 17 cents to $4.23 per gallon today.

Firefighters contained two wildfires over the weekend near the Campbell County border.

The Raven Creek Fire burned 4,503 acres across Crook, Campbell and Weston counties while the Meadow Draw Fire in Sheridan County burned 100 acres of BLM land (no structures are threatened) and mop-up operations will continue.

Edible Prairie Project in Gillette received funding—one of nine awards under the Wyoming Aggregation and Distribution Grant Program meant to boost local food storage and distribution.

The project will expand cold storage and improve connections for local producers following recommendations from the state food systems assessment.
