- ➤ An analysis by Trace One found Wyoming residents lead online searches for American-made goods, with search interest at a perfect score and nearly doubled since early 2025. - ➤ Lawmakers are reviewing ways to allow temporary storage of spent nuclear fuel to support Radiant Industries’ plan for microreactor manufacturing near Bar Nunn—experts testified on the record of dry cask storage while community concerns persist. The legislative committee will reconvene on July 29-30 in Casper to consider revised versions of the proposed bill. County 17
- ➤ The Wyoming Gaming Commission is warning Gillette residents against playing illegal online casino games because most sites are run overseas and lack proper oversight. Violators face misdemeanor charges with up to six months in jail and a $750 fine—operators face felony charges that can include up to three years in prison and a $10K fine. Wyoming News Now
- ➤ The Wyoming Transportation Commission has allocated $18.5 million for 11 statewide projects, with Gillette-based contractors S & L Industrial and Wescom Inc. winning bids of $281,020 and $258,579 to mark roads & install lighting at pedestrian crossings. - ➤ The Wyoming Supreme Court has stayed the 30-day suspension of Laramie attorney Vaughn H. Neubauer if he follows new office rules during a six-month probation period. - ➤ Vitalant will host blood drives in Gillette in June to help hospitals and patients get a safe blood supply this summer. The first drive will be held on June 11 from 8 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. at the City West building — additional drives will be on June 18 from 11:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. and on June 19 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Campbell County Recreation Center. - ➤ The Wyoming Department of Health warns that common sense and careful hygiene can prevent water- and animal-borne illnesses this summer; residents should wash hands, supervise children around poultry and water sources, and avoid swallowing pool water. WDH advises people to steer clear of swimming when ill, shower before entering water, and boil or filter untreated water—measures that help lower risks of illnesses like salmonellosis and giardiasis.
