🎓 Education
Students entering sixth, seventh and eighth grades can join the free STEM Achievers program at Gillette College from June 1 to 18 + no prior STEM experience is needed.

Meteorologist Shelby Fuller explained that Wyoming’s severe weather season is fueled by moist Gulf air and atmospheric lift, with peak storms expected mid to late June.
Residents are urged to monitor warning systems since only 15 alerts were issued through May 26 + early indicators point to increased activity.

West Echeta Road will close from June 1 for infrastructure improvements and water valve replacements, stopping traffic between Newton Road and U.S. Highway 14/16 for about two weeks—water shutoffs will disrupt nearby properties on June 2 and June 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Governor Gordon has launched the WY We Care Survivors Campaign to share the personal experiences of suicide survivors and make mental health conversations easier.
The new campaign — part of the Governor’s mental health initiative — aims to raise awareness and support in Wyoming.
