ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Wyoming and Colorado signed a memorandum on May 5 to coordinate carbon storage wells by notifying each other when projects are within one mile of the shared border & officials say the plan may later expand to neighboring states. Wyoming Public Media
- ➤ Wyoming biologists warn local anglers in early May that drought has led to low water levels and high temperatures that stress fish—advising use of barbless hooks and early morning fishing for safer releases while some local waters may not see regular stocking this season. County 17

- ➤ On Thursday, Gillette’s Select Water Committee heard nearly two hours of testimony on data centers’ water usage from industry players including Microsoft and Prometheus Hyperscale. The companies detailed closed loop cooling systems designed to reduce water consumption amid growing concerns over our limited water supply. County 17
