- ➤ Campbell County Master Gardeners are hosting their annual tree sale today from 4-7 p.m.—local residents can purchase trees to spruce up their yards. Gillette News Record
- ➤ Twenty Wyoming veterans took a free trip last weekend on a High Plains Honor Flight to tour memorial sites in Washington DC and honor their service. The nonprofit organized trips for veterans from Wyoming, Colorado and Nebraska+ providing a memorable experience+ for those who served our country. Wyoming News Now
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Wade Schear—41 from Gillette—was convicted on April 30 for possessing with intent to distribute roughly two pounds of methamphetamine and will be sentenced in federal court on July 17; he faces a possible sentence ranging from 10 years to life in prison along with fines and supervised release conditions. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Campbell County Rockpile Museum will host a free celebration of Native American culture on May 24 at CAM-PLEX Park in Gillette with a Native Dance Exhibition, Indian Relay Races and an Arts and Crafts Show. The Arts and Crafts Show runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (with the dance display from 2 to 4 p.m.) and the relay races will start around 5 p.m. Campbell County
- ➤ Gillette’s 28th annual pop-up art show by Local Color will begin this weekend and will showcase art from local and regional artists under one roof. Gillette News Record
