Gillette's Council of Community Services has launched the Grow A Little Extra program to encourage gardeners to share extra produce with food pantries to help fight food insecurity — the program offers free seeds from the University of Wyoming Extension Office.

Residents who do not garden are urged to spread the word or donate produce from local markets.

The Boys and Girls Club of Campbell County will host its 25th Annual Children’s Charity Golf Tournament on June 28 at Bell Nob Golf Course — registration starts at 7 a.m. with tee-off at 8 a.m., and teams can register, donate hole prizes, or sponsor the event to help support programs for over 900 kids.

Rockpile Museum will host its fourth annual Sheepherder’s Festival this Saturday — a local celebration showcasing traditional music, crafts and dancing — drawing visitors from around the area.

Wyoming Secretary of State Chuck Gray is holding town hall meetings in Sundance and Gillette today.
