➤ On April 8, a special needs student from Sage Valley Junior High was left alone at the aquatic center when his bus driver dropped him off without his one-on-one aide — who was out sick. His parents reported safety concerns and said the district discussed changes to prevent a repeat. County 17

➤ Stage 1 fire restrictions went into effect in Gillette on March 19 due to dry conditions and increased fire risk—most open fires, fireworks, and open flame activities are banned on county lands except federal lands. County fire officials approved the order under county board authority. County 17
