GOVERNMENT NEWS

- ➤ Lawmakers in Cheyenne spent 10.5 hours discussing new interim committee rules after they meant to pick topics from the public—Senator Tara Nethercott's motion to cut committee meeting days from six to four passed, letting chairs request extra days if needed. - ➤ Sen. Cynthia Lummis and AFL—CIO Executive Director Marcie Kindred discussed how tariff cuts and federal funding reductions will affect Wyoming jobs, manufacturing, and energy projects. They said that while returning manufacturing jobs may boost wages, ongoing federal cutbacks could reduce funds for safety programs and state projects. Wyoming News Now
