The Rockpile Museum in partnership with the University of Wyoming Campbell County 4-H will host a cake decorating contest and cake walk on April 21 from 1-3 p.m. with cake entries due by 4:30 p.m. on April 18—children will enjoy a cake walk featuring favorites like Bluey and Sonic the Hedgehog while visitors can view the free Storyland exhibit running until May 7.

Today, Gillette will have sunny skies with a high near 65°F and south winds of 7 to 9 mph, and tonight will be partly cloudy with a low around 40°F.
Tuesday will bring rain and possible thunderstorms after 3 p.m. while temperatures gradually rise to near 70°F on Friday and 74°F on Saturday.

On April 5, the Campbell County Fire Department responded to an agency assist on East Boxelder Road at 3:43 a.m., handled unauthorized burning on Peaceful Valley Drive at 12:35 p.m., took emergency medical calls on Knollwood Drive at 12:37 p.m. and on North Brooks Avenue at 1:28 p.m. and 5:08 p.m., contained a structure fire in a walk-in freezer on South Douglas Highway at 6:00 p.m., and investigated a natural gas odor on Alex Way at 9:06 p.m.—the department has answered 895 calls this year.
🏥 Health
Between March 31 and April 6, the Wyoming Department of Agriculture inspected Campbell County food places to check for safety problems and help businesses fix issues—inspection reports were made public and detail that corrections must be made within 10 to 45 days.
