A new state law will allow children under 18 to testify remotely starting July 1—courts will hold a hearing to decide if a remote option is needed when being in the same room as an alleged offender may cause distress.
The law also provides extra support for survivors of sexual assault, incest, violent felonies and human trafficking to help them feel safe when testifying.

Vitalant will host six blood drives in Campbell County during April to honor National Donate Life Month—at each event, donors can win one of two $10,000 prepaid gift cards.
