- ➤ Shoppers can visit the Cam-Plex Central Pavilion on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the Ultimate Garage Sale benefitting the Salvation Army+ the event features traditional garage sale items, homemade goods and retail finds, with vendors set up starting Friday afternoon and concessions available. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Gillette Community College Board met March 25 at the Technical Education Center, approving the Enzi Center contract with Sampson Construction and extra services from MOA Architecture (costing nearly $2M). It named April as Gillette College Month to honor its role in workforce training and reviewed tuition and enrollment plans. County 17
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Sparse snow and record heat reduced mountain lion hunting this season; only 268 licenses were used during the final week before March 31 — a shift that houndsmen say may help lion numbers bounce back as Game and Fish collects more data. County 17
- ➤ Local business Pacific Steel & Recycling is celebrating Earth Month in April by offering special promotional pricing to reward recycling. They will also host their 3rd Annual Spring Clean-Up Day on Saturday, April 25 from 8:00 a.m. to NOON for public drop-offs. County 17
