- ➤ Wyoming’s Cowboy State Agricultural Initiative released its final report yesterday detailing the need for support in financing, water, education and succession planning for local agriculture. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Wyoming recalibrated its school funding model in 2025, raising teacher pay benchmarks from 79% to 85% with base pay at about $44,000, but a six percent benefit removal plus a 10% deduction may cancel the increase, according to Superintendent Dr. Alex Ayers. County 17
- ➤ The Campbell County School District said Campbell County High School will be renovated down to its bones and food-service technology upgraded, and phase 1 of the stadium project will finish in May while the district awaits state approval on a transportation project. County 17
- ➤ School officials reviewed student performance and a new cellphone policy at a recent meeting — overall enrollment has dropped, seventh-grade scores have stayed steady while eighth-grade scores improved, and a committee will recommend formal device rules by late March or early April. County 17

- ➤ WYDOT warns residents to ignore scam texts claiming to be from the DMV that demand payment for unpaid traffic fines. The agency said it does not send these messages + urged locals to avoid clicking on suspicious links. County 17
- ➤ Campbell County Fire Department urges residents to follow its Ready, Set, Go plan as fire season nears. Residents should gather essential items (medicines, documents, and pet supplies) and check evacuation routes when officials advise them to leave. County 17
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Wyoming Cowgirl Malene Pedersen has been named a finalist for the 2026 Lilly Women’s College All-Star Game, which is scheduled for April 4. She was honored as one of 100 top basketball seniors and is one of three finalists from the Mountain West Conference. County 17
