- ➤ Middle school students from public, private, charter, and homeschool settings are invited to compete in the 2026 National Civics Bee and must submit online essays proposing community solutions by February 3 at 11:59 p.m. (HST). Local chambers will host regional competitions that lead winners to a national championship. Wyoming News Now

- ➤ Sheridan resident Gabriel Green announced his bid for governor as a ‘DINO’ who will run a grassroots campaign focused on economic improvement, election reform and reducing government involvement. The Casper native with experience in conservative thinktanks joins other candidates vying for the open governorship seat. County 17
- ➤ Gillette construction on Metz Drive near the intersections of Poco Drive and South Burma Avenue will temporarily close lanes as Road Work Ahead signs and striped barricades guide traffic; the city's Development Services Engineering Division has notified emergency and transport agencies.
