- ➤ Wyoming Education Association President Kim Amen criticized a select committee on Thursday for proposing $88 million in cuts that could increase class sizes and eliminate over 700 education jobs, and public comments are scheduled for next Thursday, Jan. 22 at Capitol Extension room E005. - ➤ Research from the Wyoming Outdoor Council shows hyperscale data centers could stress local power and water systems as developers benefit from tax breaks and low oversight. Lawmakers have not filed data center bills, and proposals will be considered after the Feb. 9 budget session (to protect ratepayers and resources). Wyoming Public Media
- ➤ On Friday evening, Gillette city staff gathered at the biennial awards banquet to honor employee achievements, with Corporal Cody Geeting and teams from Animal Control and Vehicle Maintenance among the award winners.
