COMMUNITY NEWS

  • United Way of Natrona County announced that the 2026 online grant application is now open for eligible nonprofits offering programs in Basic Needs, Health & Wellness, or Youth Development in Campbell and Converse counties. Applications will be accepted from Jan. 12 until Jan. 30 — but may close early if demand increases.  County 17
  • The Powder River Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol will hold a cadet promotion ceremony and command change Monday at the National Guard Armory (811 E. Laramie Ave.). Promotions begin at 7:15 p.m. as Colonel Rod Burnett officiates and eight cadets advance, with two earning the Billy Mitchell Award.  County 17

  • Data shows Wyoming ranks #5 nationwide for electrician pay, with median actual wages at $73,450 and adjusted wages at $80,849 plus a 102% higher concentration compared to the national average.   • Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming start their cookie pre-order season on Jan. 30 with pickups from Mar. 20 to Apr. 12 — offering new flavors and fan favorites to help teach business skills and fund local troop activities.  Wyoming News Now

  • Wyoming Energy Authority Executive Director Rob Creager was appointed to the National Coal Council by U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright on Monday.
